After 2 years of hard work Dorien had her final IB exams early May. As she had put in many hours already she was (relatively) relaxed and found the right balance between books, horse riding, free running and sleep. Only the physics exam was really difficult, but that was the general opinion, also of the teachers. The results will only be known early July, but we are confident that she has done well. After summer she will start with a Civil Engineering study in Delft, in the same faculty as Paula.
School was rounded off with a Prom, in a hotel in town. We all dressed up, and Dorien was wearing a dress (borrowed from her niece Romy) for the first time in a long, long time. The students, teachers and parents all gathered for drinks, speeches and a dinner; then the parents were (politely) asked to leave before the real party started. Piet picked Dorien up early in the morning, and after a short night we all left for France for a short holiday, and to visit Paula in her fieldwork area.
